German Engraved Grape Glass 18th Century




A German engraved grape glass or large tumbler, late 18th century.

Engraved all around with a image of a naked boy or man and a stork.
German text on the back:

Er lag ein weib un schlif
und sie die töch  ofen liß
da tam ein storch undtudlenein
solen darine nicht feische sein

Hand blown, pontil on the bottom.

The grape glass is 12,1 cm high.
The bottom has a diameter of 10,1 cm.
The top has a diameter of 10,5 cm.

Weight: 427 grams.

In a good condition, intact. No restorations.
